| What is a TisBest Charity Gift Card? |
A TisBest Charity Gift works like any other gift card, except that instead of buying more stuff, the recipient of a Charity Gift Card spends it to support a charity of their choice at www.tisbest.org. You may choose between three gift card types: (1) send a 100% recycled plastic gift card in a quality greeting card by regular mail, (2) send a gift card by email, or (3) print the gift card on your printer. | Can you create a custom charity gift card with my company’s branding and messaging? Is there an additional cost? How long does this take? |
Our gift cards are completely customizable. You may create your own gift card design that includes your company’s branding and messaging on both the gift card and the greeting card. | What are the design specifications for custom charity gift card images?
|
Custom images should be sized to 974 pixels wide x 606 pixels high at 300 DPI, RBG color, and saved as a .JPG file smaller than 1 MB in size. A light grey semi-transparent border prints at the top and bottom of each card and contains the TisBest Logo and gift card information. To see how your image will look with this border, click the “Buy Gifts Cards” tab at the top of this page, click the “Upload My Own Image” button, and select your file to upload. | How long does it take to generate plastic cards? |
Orders of less than 500 cards typically ship the next business day. Larger orders take a little longer. Please call us at 206-501-3005 x2 or send email to BusinessSales@tisbest.org to discuss specific questions about larger orders. |
| What does a TisBest Charity Gift Card cost? |
|
In addition to the face value of the card, there is a $1.49 plastic card production fee for each plastic card ordered. That fee includes the plastic card, greeting card, envelope, and postage. There is no additional charge for a card sent by email or printed on your printer.

| What are your shipping options for plastic charity gift cards? |
|
Standard USPS First Class shipping is free. FedEx Expedited or Overnight shipping can be selected during checkout for an additional charge. Orders of less than 500 cards ship within one business day. Please contact us if you have additional questions about shipping.

| Can you print a proof of my artwork for a TisBest Charity Gift Card? |

| Can you include my brand and messaging in the redemption process? |

| Do you offer cards less than $10.00 in value? |
Yes, we offer special order cards in $1.00 and $5.00 denominations. The minimum order for $1.00 cards is 100 units; the minimum order for $5.00 cards is 50 units. We add a set-up fee of $100.00 for these orders so that 100% of the face value of these cards goes to the selected charities. To inquire about $1 or $5 cards, please call 206-501-3005 x2 or send email to BusinessSales@tisbest.org. Due to special configuration requirements, these cards are not available for purchase through our website. |

| Can you send a Charity Gift Card on a future date? |
|
Email Charity Gift Cards may be sent to your recipient on any date you select. A calendar is included in the card purchase process. We email cards out at 4:30am Pacific Time on the date selected.

| Is my TisBest Charity Gift Card purchase tax deductible? |
|
Yes. TisBest Philanthropy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. When you purchase a TisBest Charity Gift Card, you are actually making a donation and creating a very small Donor Advised Fund. The Donation may be tax deductible. Please consult with your tax advisor for specific advice about taking tax deductions. The person spending a Charity Gift Card is not entitled to a tax deduction.

| How does TisBest send money to charities? |
|
We send charity gift card funds to our charity partners quarterly. Aggregating these funds quarterly greatly reduces the processing/administration costs for our charity partners and for TisBest.

| Do TisBest Charity Gift Cards expire? |
|
Our gift cards do not expire and may be used at any time.

| What happens if a card isn’t spent? |
Because our TisBest Charity Gift Cards don’t expire, we put money in reserve in order to pay for redemptions that occur later – sometimes much later. Our auditors have created a fairly complex formula that allows unspent card money to roll into our general budget over several years, where we use it to support our mission of promoting non-material gift-giving, and to support worthy non-profit organizations. When possible, we attempt to combine education and philanthropy, as reported in this Gazette Times newspaper story. Remember, TisBest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all monies are spent carefully and effectively to make this unique charity gift card system possible.. |
| Do you have outside verification and auditing? |

TisBest was founded to help the world and is operated with the highest integrity. TisBest Philanthropy is a registered non-profit corporation in the state of Washington and qualified as a 501c3 charity by the IRS. Our banking is conducted at Washington Trust Bank in Seattle, WA and our financial records are audited by Finney Neill Co., a CPA firm. The Better Business Bureau has reviewed our books, records and operations and determined that we comply with their Charity Accountability Standards. Our board members are well known and respected professionals from the Seattle area and around the country.
