TisBest Terms & Conditions

1. Charity Gift Card Program Structure

When you purchase a TisBest Charity Gift Card, you are making an irrevocable charitable contribution to TisBest Philanthropy, a donor-advised fund program operated by TisBest, a 501(c)(3) public charity (the “Donor”). Our mission is simple: “Replace gifts of stuff with gifts of good.”

A TisBest Charity Gift Card is not a consumer gift card. It is a charitable giving vehicle. The recipient of a Charity Gift Card becomes the donor-advisor and may recommend charitable organizations to receive grants from TisBest equal to the value of the card.

All grant recommendations are subject to approval by TisBest in accordance with applicable law. TisBest retains final discretion over all grant distributions.

2. Eligible Charitable Organizations

Grant recommendations may only be directed to organizations that:

  • Are recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), and
  • Are not private foundations under Section 509(a), and
  • Are not Type III supporting organizations under Section 509(a)(3)

TisBest may modify the list of eligible charities at any time without notice. Recommendations can only be made to organizations on the eligible list at the time the card is spent.

3. License to Use Gift Card Codes

Purchasers receive a one-time limited license to transfer advisory privileges to another individual. The gift card code may not be resold, transferred, revoked, canceled, or modified once issued.

4. Completion of Donation & Refund Policy

A donation is complete when TisBest successfully processes payment and sends a receipt. All Charity Gift Card purchases are final and non-refundable. The purchaser is the donor for tax purposes.

5. Prohibited Benefits

The donor-advisor (card recipient) and related parties may not receive goods, services, or more than incidental benefits from organizations receiving grants recommended via a TisBest Charity Gift Card. By using a card, the donor-advisor certifies compliance with these rules.

6. Grant Distribution Timing

TisBest distributes funds to recommended eligible charities in the calendar quarter following the quarter in which the Charity Gift Card is spent. Timing may vary at TisBest’s discretion.

7. SMS Messaging Terms & Compliance

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages related to TisBest services, including:

  • Donation confirmations
  • Gift card delivery and redemption updates
  • Customer service notifications
  • Program or account communications

8. Changes to Terms

TisBest may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our site and services signifies acceptance of the revised terms.
